Miscellaneous Scanner Settings
- Open the DS3678 Product Reference Guide document
- Section 5-22 (Page 126) – CONTINUOUS BARCODE READ - Enabling this setting will allow you to hold the trigger down and scan multiple tags (Useful when Multi-scanning). Disabling this setting forces you to pull the trigger to scan each tag.
- Section 5-6 (Page 110) – BEEP AFTER GOOD DECODE – Beeps after a tag is scanned
- Section 5-8 (Page 112) – BEEPER VOLUME – Adjusts beeper volume
- Section 2-8 (Page 46) – AIMING DOT – Recommend using Auto Aim.
- Auto Aim will project the Aiming Dot when the device is lifted/moved
- Section 5-13 (Page 117) - LOW POWER MODE: Recommend disabling Low Power Mode. If scanner is used throughout the day, but not often enough to keep it from going to sleep, the user will need to remember to wake the scanner up before scanning in the app. If the scanner is not awake when a scan is attempted, the app will auto-close and the user will need to log back in and reconnect the scanner. Disabling low power mode will prevent this.
Please read through Chapter 5 of the DS3678 Product Reference Guide as there are other settings that may be of interest.
