Idencia in a Nutshell
Idencia is an asset tracking software suite consisting of a Management Portal and a Mobile Application. The management portal is used to define your jobs, asset types, asset properties, and the processes that can be performed against each asset. Each process consists of a set of questions about an asset that are answered during the manufacture, inventory control, or other stages in your value chain.
The mobile application is used on a tablet or smartphone to complete the processes configured in the management portal. Completing a process on the mobile application will capture answers to each question in the process. The answers are retained in the Idencia cloud database and can be recalled and reported on at any time.
Some Idencia users in your organization may use only the management portal. Others may use only the mobile application. Still others may need access to both the management portal and the mobile application to complete all of their job responsibilities.
The Management Portal
The Idencia Management Portal is a web based application used to set up your Idencia system, configure processes, manage your Jobs, view the status of production and production reports, and view or edit existing Items and Item Groups.
Users can access the management portal from any computer or mobile device with an internet connection and a web browser. Your organization has a unique URL to access your management portal. You may have used that URL to access this overview. Your organization's URL will look similar to below.

The Mobile Application
The Idencia mobile application is a free Android app available for download in Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). The mobile application is used to run processes against the assets being tracked in your Idencia system.
A concrete pipe producer might use the Idencia mobile application to complete QC and inventory processes against individual concrete pipes throughout the production life-cycle. A heavy equipment rental company might use the Idencia mobile application to record safety checks performed against each piece of heavy equipment before the piece is rented.
