Overview
If you do not wish to tag each product with a serial number, but would still like to capture data about the unique items you produce, this can be accomplished by using Form IDs.
Without serializing each product, the easiest way to track your items is to know each item's Pour Date & Time, and the Form ID of the form (or mold) in which it was poured. Since a single form can only be used to pour one product at a time, this combination of values (Pour Date/Time and Form ID) creates a unique identifier for each product. This unique identifier can act as the product's serial number in Idencia.

Creating Form IDs
Before creating your list of forms in Idencia, you must first assign a unique identifier, called a Form ID, to each of your forms. Forms IDs can be numbers like 1, 2, 3, 4 or combinations of numbers and letters like HC-1, HC-2. Regardless of the numbering method you choose, each form will need a unique identifier.
Also required will be each form's Form Type. Form Types are categories of forms. You may have several pipe forms, a few manhole forms, and two Hollowcore forms (beds) and choose to create three Form Types - Pipe, Manhole, and Bed. You may have exclusively pipe forms, but in varying sizes. For example, you many have fifteen 36" Pipe forms, twenty-five 15" Pipe forms, and forty 16" Pipe forms. In this example, your Form Types might be 36 Inch, 15 Inch and 16 Inch. Form Types are completely up to you and can be any combination of numbers and letters that you choose.
