In this article, learn how to delete a process and under what conditions a process cannot be deleted

Overview
If you need to, you are able to delete Processes on a limited basis. You cannot delete a Process if there are Item Types or Custom Item Types that have the Process assigned as the Default Process.
To delete a Process, follow the steps below:
- Select Setup --> Processes from the Main Menu. The Processes page will be displayed
- Click the Delete icon (X) next to the Process you want to delete
A confirmation message will appear. - Click the Delete button
The process will be deleted
Error messaging
If you encounter an error message like the one below, you must first find the Item Type(s) and/or Custom Item Type(s) that use this Process as the Default Process, and delete the Default Process association.
- Navigate to Settings --> Item Types
- Find the Item Type that has the Process assigned as a default and remove the association.
NOTE: If you cannot find an Item Type with the given Process associated as the Default Process, the offending Item Type may be a Custom Item Type. If this is the case, navigate to Jobs and select the job with the offending Custom Item Type. Then remove the association in the same manner as described above.
