Idencia OneSource: The Precast ScrapDown Challenge Extension - Attaching Labels, Pre and Post Pour Inspections

How to use Idencia OneSource Connect to collect pre and post pour inspection data

Collecting data for pre and post pour inspections is just as easy as collecting scrap and repair data during The Precast ScrapDown Challenge. Here we walk through the two new processes in your site to help you understand what information they collect.

The processes added to your Idencia OneSource account were created based on the Standard NPCA Pre and Post Pour inspection requirements. If you become a customer of Idencia, you will be able to customize these processes to include the information most relevant to you in any order that works best for you.

Tagging Products

You received 20 barcode labels that you can attach to your products. Once attached, the label will then be associated to that product throughout production. This is the "license plate" for that particular product.

When to Attach Label

The label can be attached to your product the same time you're going to start your pre pour inspection.

Key Difference Between ScrapDown vs. This Trial

Now that there are labels for products, you must use the "Scan Tag" button option on the mobile app. This is because the label has a barcode that you can scan. This is how the system is going to identify that product again when you go back to complete the post pour inspection.

Record Pre Pour Inspection

  1. Open and Sync mobile app.
  2. Select the "Scan Tag" button.
  3. Click "Scan Tag" on the bottom of the screen. You may need to give permissions to allow access to the camera. This will open up your mobile devices camera, align with the product tag and wait for it to register.
  4. Confirm the serial number on the app matches with the label on the product, then click "Next".
  5. Select the Product type that most closely matches the product you are repairing from the list. If nothing matches select "Other".
  6. Enter the information for each step.
  7. To record another product simply "Create Another" to start back from the beginning.

It is critical to remember to "Exit" to the home screen regularly to "Sync" your data to Idencia OneSource Gateway. If a user does not Sync, the data they collect will not appear in the dashboard on the website.

  4. Enter the information for each step.
