In this article, learn how to load and ship shipments using the Mobile Application.

NOTE: The Idencia Shipping module is a premium add-on available at all subscription levels. If the Shipments tab in your Mobile Application is empty, you may not have subscribed to the Shipments module.

Overview
Scheduling and tracking shipments is a crucial part of any product tracking system. Idencia combines the ease of completing electronic shipping processes on a handheld device with RFID and GPS technologies to provide an integrated and flexible solution.

Shipment statuses include:
- Pending Load: Scheduled shipments that have not been loaded
- Loaded: Shipments that have been loaded, but not yet shipped
- From the mobile app home screen, switch to the Shipments tab.
The list of available shipments will be displayed. The shipments will be displayed by Scheduled Ship Date in descending order
If you have subscribed to the Shipping module, but have no shipments appearing on your Shipments tab, then there are no Pending Load or Loaded shipments available. See the How do I manage shipments using the Shipping Module? knowledge article for more information. - To start loading a new shipment, tap a Shipment where the status is Pending Load.
To edit a shipment that was previously loaded but not yet shipped, tap a Shipment where the status is Loaded.
The Shipment Details screen will be displayed.
Shipment Details include:
Scheduled Date: The date the shipment is scheduled to ship
Status: The status of the shipment
Maximum Weight: The maximum weight specified for the shipment
Loaded Weight: The weight of the items currently loaded in the shipment
Item: The list of Item Types to be included in the shipment
Quantity: The quantity of each item type required in the shipment - Tap Add Items
- Add appropriate items to the shipment.
- To add items by scanning QR/Barcode or RFID tags, tap Scan Tag.
Use the onboard camera or connected external scanner to scan one or more items. - To add items by selecting them from a list, tap View Items.
Use the list to select one or more items. - Click Add Item(s)
- To add items by scanning QR/Barcode or RFID tags, tap Scan Tag.
- Verify Loaded Weight
When the Loaded Weight exceeds the shipment's Maximum Weight, a warning message will appear. This informational only. Idencia will not stop the user from executing a shipment that is over weight.
Once all of the appropriate items have been added to the shipment, the Add Items button will disappear. - Tap Ship Later to mark the shipment as Loaded and ready for shipment
- Tap Ship Now to mark the shipment as Shipped and remove it from your pending shipments list. See the Ship Loads Using the Mobile App section of this article for additional information about shipping and shipping processes.
REASONS YOU MAY HAVE TROUBLE ADDING AN ITEM TO A SHIPMENT:
- Incomplete items (items with an incomplete process) will not be available for shipment. Attempting to add an incomplete item to the shipment will result in an error message.
- Once the required quantity of a given item type has been fulfilled, no additional items of that type can be added. Attempting to add too many items of a given type to the shipment will result in an error message.
- Only item types listed on the Shipment Details screen can be added to the shipment. Attempting to add an item type not included in the shipment will result in an error message.

Only items where the Item Status is not equal to Shipped can be included in a shipment
Ship Loads Using the Mobile App
Shipment statuses include:
- Pending Load: Scheduled shipments that have not been loaded
- Loaded: Shipments that have been loaded, but not yet shipped
- From the mobile app home screen, switch to the Shipments tab.
The list of available shipments will be displayed. - Tap a Shipment where the status is Loaded.
The Shipment Details screen will be displayed - Tap Ship Now.
- If your shipment has no default process associated in the Management Portal, a confirmation message will be displayed.
- If your shipment was configured to include a default process, that process will start upon tapping the Ship Now button. The default process could capture information like truck number, carrier, photos, and driver's signature. See the How do I create, update, and delete processes? knowledge article for more information.
- If your shipment has no default process associated in the Management Portal, a confirmation message will be displayed.
Note that the updated shipment information will not be available on the Management Portal until the mobile application has been successfully synced.
